In addition, to offer the knowledge-sharing and analytical-skill learning, the class will focus on the active learning of working together with various Japanese youth and experts. The uniqueness of this program is to provide critical thinking to participants who will be able to develop and create their innovative ideas and solutions that are link to the global labor market and job opportunities related to SDGs.
Goro Mutsuura, a Japanese native, has more than 35 years of professional working experience in international and multilateral organizations, including 25 years of substantive work achievement in the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDBG), one of the leading Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) that prioritizes social inclusion and equality; productivity and innovation; and regional economic integration in its development work across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region. Mutsuura has been played an active role to accomplish Social and Economic development through financial instruments and grant resources to achieve a sound quality of live in the LAC region. He worked devotedly to close poverty gap through grass-roots social development projects and established strong network with various local and international Civil Society Organization. Mutsuura directed to establish institutional agreement with various Universities of Latin America, including University of Sao Paulo, FAAP University, EAFIT University, and La Plata National University, etc. In addition, he lectured on Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) and the role of MDBs, and global career development who can play an active role internationally. Currently, he teaches at Meiji University to understand Latin American cross-culturalism and strives to develop human resources who can play an active role in the international community. After retirement from IDB in 2020, Mutsuura returned to Japan and established GOROM Association, a non-profit organization that attempts to address global social issues by supporting the development of young minds' entrepreneurial and professional skills to strengthen their communities and make social impact in the world. As a Chairman and CEO of GOROM, Mutsuura is actively developing social entrepreneurship platform youth to find the professional and cultural frames of reference they need to be competitive in the global business market.
