Spanish for University students
The Language Learning Program (PAL for its initials in Spanish) allows students of the University of Los Andes to take Japanese courses as a foreign language according to the academic criteria of the Language and Culture Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences. These courses are aimed at undergraduate students from any field interested in learning and studying the Japanese language and culture.
The program consists of six (6) levels of language. At the end of the last course the students will have a level equivalent to B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CERFL).
*Language Courses: In the Japanese courses the students learn the functional use of grammar and develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Seminars: The offer of seminars varies every semester, some examples are:
- Initiation to Japanese reading and writing
- Routes and regions of Asia
- Popular Culture in Japan
- Gender in Japan

Japanese for employees and external people from the University
The employees and external members of the university interested in taking courses of Japanese language can do it through the modalities of Free Courses of Continuing Education. This public will be able to access all the Japanese language and culture courses.

- International Japanese Exam.
