Axes - Mision - Vision

Our activities are be based on the following 6 axes:

  • Technology Science and innovation: The objective is to deepen knowledge in technology, science and innovation in Japan and Colombia through the flow of ideas between the two nations, by exchanges between students from different universities and joint research between companies, universities, events, or workshops, etc.
  • Business: Promote the possibility of business expansion, support Japanese companies that want to reach the Colombian market, as well as Colombian companies that want to reach the Japanese market. Support meetings between companies and the community through seminars, conferences, or job fairs, etc.
  • Japanese language: The Japanese language is very rich and has many specific cultural nuances that alone explain a lot about its people. The objective of the Japan Center is to spread the Japanese language and the culture behind it in Colombia.
  • Culture: Japanese culture is known to many people, however, not in all respects or in depth. Through the Japan Center, Japanese culture will be disseminated among Colombian citizens through various activities such as events, courses, exhibitions, workshops, studies, etc. 
  • International Policy:The entities that support the Japan Center have as objective of mutual understanding between Japan and Colombia and the expansion of their borders in the sense of greater proximity between the two nations. Relations between Japan and Colombia are very important for its people and their maintenance is essential.
  • Architecture and Design:Functional designs and architectural talents are very important in today's society. The Japan Center aims to spread the architecture and design of Japan in Colombia through courses, exhibitions, workshops, etc.

Mision

The Japan Center facilitates and encourages mutual understanding between citizens of Japan and Colombia in the areas of culture, academy and economics.

Vision

In 2025, having positioned the Japan Center as a prominent and important space for the construction and maintenance of the relationship between Japan and Colombia, and the dissemination of information about Japan. The Center is also expected to have an impact in the Asia-Pacific region.

Objectives

  • Gain interest and facilitate the understanding that the Colombian community has about Japanese culture.
  • Promote relations of academic institutions between Japan and Colombia and promote the transfer of knowledge at the University.
  • Facilitate access to information on the activities of the private sector and foster the cooperation of Japanese and Colombian companies in various fields.
