General information

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan (MEXT) offers foreign students the opportunity to study in Japan thanks to different scholarship programs.

This way, the Information Service on Scholarships and Studies in Japan of the Embassy of Japan in Colombia, guides those who are interested in these topics, explaining in detail dates and requirements to apply for scholarships for studies in Japan. Likewise, it offers information on educational institutions in that country for people who want to pursue studies on their own. It also provides general guidance on academic institutions and approximate costs.

Application

The application to the scholarship programs is done through ICETEX, therefore, you must access its portal http://www.icetex.gov.co and access the Current Scholarships menu (Japan - select the convocation you're interested in) for online registration and application. The documents requested in the convocation, together with the proof of their online application, must be delivered in physical form at the ICETEX offices.
